Ian Lipton's 20 years of business management experience includes senior executive roles in environmental sustainability including sustainable transportation and hospitality, alternative energy, energy efficiency technologies, carbon offsetting, and personal and organizational development. He specializes in solutions that focus on the triple-bottom-line of environmental, social and economic sustainability.
Ian is currently a member of the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) Corporate Social Responsibility Committee; the ASTM Committee on Environmental Sustainability for the Hospitality Industry; the World Resources Institute's Scope 3 GHG Protocol Stakeholder Advisory Group; and the International Society of Sustainability Professionals. He is also contributing to the development of the Convention Industry Council's Accepted Practices Exchange for the Environmental Sustainability of meetings and events.
Ian has been an invited speaker on environmental sustainability at universities and industry associations, and has provided expert environmental testimony to the New York Taxi and Limousine Commission (NYTLC).
Ian is a certified Greenhouse Gas Inventory Quantifier, and holds a B.A and M.A. from the University of Waterloo.
